SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL FACTORS OF DEVIANT BEHAVIOR AND DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The article focuses on identifying factors of abnormal development and behaviour. To the greater extent, the behavioural deviation of children and adolescents is investigated. The external (social and pedagogical) and the internal (biological and psychological) factors of the abnormal are analyzed. The article clarifies the understanding of the concept of "factor". According to I. S. Morozova's point of view it can act as a motive power, as a reason and as a condition for a phenomenon origin. In the context of this study, a factor is taken by the causes of abnormal behaviour or development. Despite the fact that in each case there is a unique combination of factors, one can nevertheless determine some general trends in the formation of abnormal behaviour and development. In some theories, the focus is mainly concentrated on the role of education in the emergence and development of abnormal forms of behaviour, while in the others it is concentrated on the individual characteristics of a person. Analyzing this issue, it should be noted that this pattern can be seen both in foreign and domestic studies. The analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature showed that abnormal development and behaviour has a multi-factor conditionality, where social, pedagogical, biological and psychological factors are presented in one inseparable complex of formation period contrary to the generally accepted norms. Thus, the biological factor works at the level of psychobiological prerequisites that impede human adaptation. The psychological factor is manifested in the selective attitude of the individual to the norms, values, forms of activity, closely related to the peculiarities of self-regulation. It is important in what social, political and economic conditions a person lives (a social factor) and who and how educates him (a pedagogical factor). These factors in their close interaction interrelate or elaborate the formation of an abnormal personality.
