Abstract
The article examines the issue of implementing consumer rights in the context of retail trade on international electronic platforms (using Alibaba.com (Aliexpress.com) as an example). The subject of the study is the current state of civil legislation in the field of consumer protection on international platforms (including when making cross-border purchases). It is noted that consumer protection in cross-border retail trade has certain features, and such transactions themselves carry additional risks for the consumer. The article examines the features of interaction between the platform, seller and buyer on the Alibaba.com (Aliexpress.com) platform and judicial practice in individual disputes related to such interaction. It is stated that at present the practice of trading through this platform does not fully comply with the norms of Russian legislation.
