Abstract

Knowledge of various teaching technologies helps not only to improve the educational process, but also makes it possible to evaluate their application in various educational spaces. The authors of the article, based on an analysis of the features of case technology, propose to consider its advantages when teaching ethics in a higher education institution. Case technology allows you to combine theory with practice, apply theory in the context of real events, with its help it is possible to awaken students’ interest in studying the subject, and also actively acquire knowledge and develop skills through independently conducted collection, processing and analysis of information. The authors of the article developed a methodological scheme for working with a case study for ethics. The authors show that this methodological scheme can be applied in the context of teaching ethics at a university. The proposed methodological scheme for working with the case consists of six steps, mastering each of which allows students not to limit themselves to simply perceiving classical theories and reading philosophical texts, but to develop their own opinions on ethical issues. Case technology demonstrates a high degree of effectiveness, therefore it is recommended for use in the process of teaching an ethics course at a university.
