Abstract
This paper solves the problem of organizing the educational process in the context of implementing a modular approach by adapting content and developing an algorithm for using microlearning in language universities.
According to the research, the priorities of the state policy in the field of education regarding the implementation of the digital transformation of the education system, as well as the specifics of the use of modern information technologies and the features of the implementation of educational programs were analyzed according to the requirements of the official documents of the Russian Federation.
The particular emphasis is placed on the individualization of the learning process and the conditions for the development of a dynamic society, which requires the search for the new ways of processing information by the generation of centennials.
A comparative analysis of the existing terms related to microlearning allowed to define the terminological apparatus as well as to determine the specifics of the educational content of the new format and the time of the intervals in interactive sessions. The characteristic features of microlearning based on the didactic and psychological principles of learning are considered in details, and the technical component describing the usage of specialized platforms of various access is also taken into account.
The analysis of implementing microlearning in the educational process made it possible to develop and describe the algorithm for integrating microlearning into the study of foreign languages in higher educational institutions. This algorithm is represented by a cyclic structure that includes two autonomous target blocks aimed at solving various tasks, one of which allows to organize work with the new language thematic material providing an opportunity to build an individual educational route, while the other is aimed at applying previously studied language material taken from the task bank.
