POSSIBILITIES AND LIMITATIONS OF DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS

Abstract

The article deals with social entrepreneurship, as a way of solving problems that arise in socially unprotected groups. Such problems are of a different nature - this is both the difficulty or impossibility of finding a job, the lack of material means for normal living, etc. The relevance of the research is related to the fact that the topic of social entrepreneurship in Russia is new and has a great development potential. Abroad, social business is a developed segment of the economy, receiving significant support from the governments of these countries, which has a great social impact and at the same time are profitable enterprises. In Russia, all this is in its infancy. The aim of the work is to study social entrepreneurship as a special kind of activity, which is a combination of business and charity. In the course of the study, the authors analyzed the interpretation of the definition of "social entrepreneurship" from various sources and, as a result, signs were derived, according to which it is possible to classify the business as socially oriented. The authors suggested that innovation is one of the most important features, since social entrepreneurship is based on a creative approach to solving problems related to socially vulnerable groups. In the course of the study, the difference between social entrepreneurship and charity is determined, and the main difference between these two activities is shown. It was revealed that the innovative activity of entrepreneurs, as persons most interested in the development of their business idea, is of great importance for the growth of social entrepreneurship. The authors of the article outlined the factors that hamper the growth of innovation activity, gave examples.
