EVOLUTION OF PRACTICE OF REMOTE WORK IN RUSSIA AND ABROAD

Abstract

N recent years, remote work in Russia is gaining popularity among employers and employees. More and more often on specialized job search sites there are vacancies and resumes associated with such form of work as remote work. But nevertheless, many do not fully understand what it is, and how to use the opportunities of remote work for the development of the company. The author has considered the history of such phenomenon as remote work abroad and in Russia, highlighted the stages of development of the practice of remote work in Russia and abroad, analyzed the concept of remote work, identified the types of remote work, the main differences of remote work from traditional work in the office. The advantages and disadvantages of remote work for employers and employees were considered, the prospects for the development of remote work in Russia were given. The professions, which have recently become increasingly popular for the transition to remote work, were considered, as well as the economic effect of the transition of some employees from traditional workplaces in the office to remote places. The results of the research are of a theoretical nature and can be used to organize remote workplaces in organizations. Considering the prospects of remote work development in Russia shows that the interest in remote work among companies and employees is growing, which means that we should expect an increase in the number of remote jobs in various organizations.
