TO THE QUESTION OF THE ROLE OF THE LEGAL CLINIC IN THE ACTIVITIES OF FUTURE LAWYERS

Abstract

The authors consider the formation of legal consciousness and raising the level of legal culture. At the same time, a number of ideological and organizational measures are proposed to help create a comfortable social and legal environment. It emphasizes the special role of the legal clinic in providing free legal assistance in the process of forming the legal consciousness of students in higher educational institutions. Also in the article it was noted that the creation and functioning of legal clinics as a form of providing free qualified legal aid to the population by higher education institutions is one of the measures of state policy in the field of education and upbringing of the younger generation, legal education and training of legal personnel. Particular attention is paid to the formation of the legal consciousness of university students, the formation of legal competence. In addition, the authors of the article compare the domestic and foreign experience of providing free legal assistance, since at present foreign systems have established certain systems of providing free legal aid with their own peculiarities. The authors note in the study that the activities of the legal clinic of the Siberian Institute of Business and Information Technologies are built taking into account the experience of foreign countries. In conclusion, the authors of the article come to the conclusion that the work of students in a legal clinic can contribute to the education of tolerance and humanism among young people.
