Abstract
The paper is devoted to the problem of achieving the planned personal results of students, which are specified in the Federal State Educational Standard for Basic General Education. As a solution, the author proposes the integration of robotics into the computer science course at the main school. The author substantiates the need to use robotics in extracurricular activities in computer science to compensate for the lack of educational time and to achieve personal results. The purpose of the study is to analyze the working programs for extracurricular activities and the subject of computer science (basic and advanced levels), and to develop a course for extracurricular activities in computer science for grades 7–9 using robotics to improve personal results. The program includes a general description and the course's place in the educational process, the course's goals and objectives, the planned results of mastering the program, the course content, and the thematic planning. The research methods used are analysis and description. The main result of the work was the identification of thematic sections of the computer science course for grades 7–9, in which robotics can be applied, and a description of an extracurricular activity program called «Personal growth through programming and robot creation», which includes a specially designed set of tasks and covers all sections of computer science in secondary school. The course can be used in school practice and can be supplemented by teachers based on the specific needs of their educational institution. The author concludes that incorporating robotics into extracurricular computer science activities can contribute to the personal growth of students.
